The TranSearch® live file management solution does not require the use of scanners – but you will not get the best from the system without them.  The scanners enable you to record the location of files and boxes at the press of a button on the scanner and an upload of the data.  Each scanner works in a different way and we can help you to choose which are the most appropriate solutions for your business needs.  The following is a brief outline of what each scan type can do.

Tethered Scanner
The tethered scanner is the most basic workhorse for TranSearch.  This scanner is used in place of a keyboard – so rather than having to type in a long unique reference for a file or a box, you simply scan the Bar-Code.

711 Scanner
This scanner, known as a Portable Data Terminal (PDT), is a mobile unit and allows you to scan locations and boxes whilst you are walking around, away from the PC, making trolley deliveries or picking files from storage.  Then when you return to the PC you can upload the data and all the information is updated.

Keyring Scanner
This PDT acts like a 711 – it allows you to record the arrival of a file or box on your desk or to a van.  The beauty of this scanner is that it is so small and neat – everyone who needs one can keep one with them, attached to their key-ring or security badge

8000 Scanner
This scanner (PDT) is the most flexible of all and allows you to create and open boxes, place files into boxes and scan to locations whilst away from the PC.  Then on returning to the PC you can upload the data and all the information is updated.

Zebra Printer
We are a Zebra Official Reseller.  Thermal Data Transfer Printers are our workhorses.  Thermal Data Transfer Labels are more resilient and less likely to deteriorate in light.  In addition we can provide different types of label that have resistance to chemicals etc.  The Zebra Printers we use are small and compact and can be easily placed in a warehouse or office, in fact wherever a user needs to be able to generate labels.  Read more about the printers we supply. 
Thermal Data Transfer Printers are perfect where space is limited, providing the ideal solution for a number of users to share the capability across a network.
